In my quest of exploring Delhi ~ my hometown, one Sunday with clouds wrapping the city all over, me & mum decided to start off with Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.

The entry of the Gurudwara.

It is located in the heart of Delhi, Connaught Place. It is one of the most prominent Sikh Gurudwara in the capital and also a famous tourist spot because of its religious values.

It is easily recognizable from far off by its golden dome and tall flagpole. The gurudwara is well-know for its association with the eighth guru of Sikh’s ~ Guru Har Krishan. The guru is believed to be residing here during his stay in Delhi.

The gurudwara was constructed somewhere around 1780 during the rule of Mughal Emperor, Shah Alam.
