Jaipur – City Palace & more

If you have missed Part One and Part two of my visit to Jaipur, check it out here: Jaipur – The Pink City & Jaipur – Amer Fort & Chowki Dhani. Else, moving ahead!!

1. City Palace

On 3rd day, we headed to City Palace, which was once the seat of king of Jaipur. City palace includes Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. Chandra Mahal holds a great museum now, although the majority portion of it is still a royal residence.

The palace is easily identifiable by its pink architecture – Yes! I know you will say entire Jaipur city is indeed pink ;-). You will be mesmerized by the entry of the palace itself which has a great stoned craved door. The entire palace holds vast array of courtyards, beautiful gardens, buildings and historical heritage.

I couldn’t get much pictures of the palace as the place was loaded with tourist, yet some of the pictures are here –

2. Jal Mahal(Water Palace)

On our way back, we got to see Jal Mahal(Water Palace) – unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside because it was closed at that time. I still managed to take the picture from slightly far location which was in itself such a beauty difficult to put down in words.

3. Birla Mandir(Temple)

The last bit of our trip was headed towards Birla Mandir (Temple), which is a Hindu Temple having vast white colored architecture. The temple is located on elevated ground at the base of Moti Dungari hill in Rajasthan.

Some of the pictures are:

That’s all from my Jaipur trip.

Until next time..
